15 Minutes to Greatness: Intro

15 Minutes to Greatness: Intro

A day of our life goes by.

Did we improve a little? Did we regress a little? Do we even know?
What if we had a magnificent obsession to improve 1% per day? Would this be worth having?
The effects of compound interest can significantly increase the value of your bank account over time, but what about the compounding effects of dedicated effort?
There are many areas of our life where we could focus for 1% improvement each day: Physical Energy, Mental Energy, Focus, Relentless Drive, Patience, Faith, Attitude, Client Service, Goal Setting, Vision, Procrastination, Fearlessness, Self-Talk, Encouragement, Nutritional Health…

But is one percent a day even worth the effort?

The great John Wooden, who won 10 National Championships in 12 years, said, “You have to apply yourself each day to become a little better. By applying yourself to the task of becoming a little better each and every day over a period of time, you will become a lot better.”
How “little” could we actually do to become “a lot” better?
So, let’s say we decided to dedicate effort to 1% improvement every day. What would that mean? Well, we have 1,440 minutes in a day. 1% of that is 14.4 minutes. Let’s round it up to 15 minutes and go from there.
What can be done in 15 minutes?
  • An Indy Car can travel 50 miles
  • An Olympic caliber athlete can run 5,000 meters (3 miles)
  • A top speed reader can read between 15,000 and 30,000 words
We believe John Wooden was correct. WE CAN DRASTICALLY CHANGE OUR LIVES IN 15 MINUTES PER DAY with a 15 MINUTE DAILY HABIT to create the ABUNDANCE/PEACE/FULFILLMENT/and PURPOSE OF OUR LIVES!
