The Sixth Income Producing Activity of Sales Leaders (Part 6 of 12)

I want to share with you one of the fastest ways that you can motivate your team. In my sixth income-producing activity of sales managers, I want you to explore the use of a DAILY LEADERBOARD.

It is NOT to shame or publicly humiliate the team members that did not have a great day the day before but to recognize everyone that is putting in an effort.

A daily leaderboard can be used if your team is already doing well, but you want to take them to the next level, or maybe you’re managing an underperforming team, and you want to find a way to turn this around.

Run a daily report on what we call their CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS, the daily and weekly target activities they need to hit their sales goals. Run that report on your team and send out a daily leaderboard for your team.

Here is how this works:

It helps you stay in the numbers, so you know what’s going on with your team to is every single day your team has the opportunity to be recognized by putting in enough activity to go on.

I would recommend picking your top three to five in each category for your leaderboard. Everyone who’s putting in the effort and everybody has the opportunity to be on that leaderboard every day. We do this at Southwestern Consulting and every day when that email goes out; we’re all checking our inboxes. It becomes a great daily tool to motivate your team.

I would love to connect with you on how to set up your daily leaderboard and start having this tool to motivate your team. Please visit me at and fill out a form or give me a call on my phone numbers listed there.

Stay tuned tomorrow when I published my video on the seventh income-producing activity of sales managers.
