The Seventh Income Producing Activity of Sales Leaders (Part 7 of 12)

When you are running your weekly meetings do you used a WEEKLY LEADERBOARD to highlight your team’s successes as you recognize team members?

In the weekly leaderboard include these tracking categories:

  • Phone calls
  • Conversations
  • Referrals
  • Presentations

Today, I want to share with you what a huge difference a weekly leaderboard email with the entire cumulative results of your team’s activity for the past week will be for your organization. Just like you would do on that daily leaderboard, you only want to recognize the top performers on your team when you’re doing your weekly leaderboard.

I want to reiterate here; it’s not just about results. It’s also about acitivity. This is part of why it’s so critical that you need to have a tracking mechanism to track your team’s phone calls, conversations, presentations, referrals, whatever else your critical success factors are for your business.

The weekly leaderboard email is so critical to getting people excited about the opportunity to get public recognition, and it becomes the foundation that you can pull from when you’re doing your weekly recognition meetings to talk through each piece of the leaderboard, to recognize the people who are listed.

An additional perk to the weekly leaderboard in your weekly meeting is to have team members share what they felt helped them be successful that weekly and where they made adjustments. When you put these things into place, you can transform the trajectory of your sales team from one that is either stagnant/not hitting their goals to one that is just crushing it and has a bunch of positive energy as well.

We can help you set up the mechanism that tracks these factors, help you form your weekly leaderboard and set up the structure of your weekly meetings. I would love to connect with you and talk about these strategies and how they can help your team. Please visit me at, and you can also check out some of my other videos and my blog.
