Hang Up to Hello Time

This is one of those things that you don’t think about that much, but you can get some major results.

Say you’re out prospecting and you just feel like the day is dragging on and it is somewhat horrible. It seems like you can’t get the day over with quick enough! That’s not a great way to be productive so I have something fun for you to do to make the day go by better and accomplish a lot more during the time you have.

Figure out your hang up to hello time.

What is this hang up to hello time? It is literally how much time in between when you hang up to when you have the next person on the line.

No matter what happens on the other end of that phone, if you are focused on getting to that next person, you will push yourself more and be more motivated to get on the phone with another person. Make a game out of it—get a stopwatch and time yourself so you can challenge yourself between each dial. Use that Forward 40 to keep it going.

As you are growing your business, and taking these principles,  you will start getting more efficient and effective. I encourage you to write down how long it’s taking you in between calls. If you’re up to 10 minutes, I can guarantee there is something in there that is not helping you be as successful. Design a way to hang up and get to the next person. This will help you in prospecting!

Prospecting knowledge is not a product of schooling, but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.

  1. Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll
just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any suggestions for first-time blog writers?
    I’d really appreciate it.
